time of ascent is time taken by particle to reach it's highest position when thrown vertically upwards
time of decent is time taken by particle to return from Max height to initial position
Time of of flight is the the time for particle remains in air Or it is the sum of time of ascent and time of decent
time of decent is time taken by particle to return from Max height to initial position
Time of of flight is the the time for particle remains in air Or it is the sum of time of ascent and time of decent

The time of flight is the time taken by a body to remain in air and is given by the sum of the time of ascent (t1) and the time of descent (t2).
is ascent time.
Time of descent (t2) After reaching the maximum height, the body begins to travel downwards like a freely falling body. The time taken by a freely falling body to reach the ground is called thetime of descent (t2).
The amount of time it spends in the air is called the time of flight. If the ground from which the projectile is launched is level, the time of flight only depends on the initial velocity v0, the launch angle θ, and the acceleration due to gravity. The unit for the time of flight is seconds (s)
