hey friend!

Iodine is an antiseptic.

A solution of iodine in alcohol with some little amount of potassium iodide is known as tincture of iodine.

Tincture of iodine is reddish-brown,and is applied on cuts. A paste of petroleum jelly in it gives relief from pain.
