tincture of iodine is the composition of sodium iodide or potassium iodide with the solution of water and ethanol.
the compound which has single bond is known as saturated compound.
the compound which has double and triple bond is known as unsaturated compound.

therefore ,the solution which is prepared by the use of saturated compound then the solution is known as saturated solution.
the solution which is prepared by the use of unsaturated compound then the solution is known as unsaturated solution.

bromine water test
if the colour of solution disappear ,then it is unsaturated solution.
