similar cells combine to form the same function. this combination of similar cells is called tissue.
cells ---> tissue---> organs---> organ system---> organism.

A tissue is a group of similar cells that are function specific. In other words, Tissue is formed when similar cells join together to perform a specific function. Some examples of tissues are- Nervous tissue (found in the nervous system),  connective tissue (creates a connective web in our body), Epithelial tissue etc.
