What is Torrid zone?

Torrid zone which is also known as Tropical zone is one of the Geographical zone.
Tropic of cancer and Tropic of capricon comes under this zone. In this zone the sun is directly reached once in a year. In the northern hemisphere, sun moves from equator to Tropic of cancer and in Southern hemisphere from equator to Tropic of capricorn.
