➡When a Ray of light passes from denser medium to a rare medium because the ray is at an angle greater than the critical angle then the ray gets reflected back in the same medium, this is known as total internal reflection

Total internal reflection is the complete reflection of a light ray reaching an interface with a less dense medium when the angle of incidence exceeds the critical angle.
