The total internal reflection takes place in drop of water when a beam of light enter the droplet it first goes through refraction and then total internal reflection like when a ray of light falls on the mirror it gets reflected which is same as when a ray of light falls on the droplet and get reflected . That's all I know about total internal reflection.

hope it helps.....

ANSWER...

  • Total internal reflection, in physics, complete reflection of a ray of light within a medium such as water or glass from the surrounding surfaces back into the medium. The phenomenon occurs if the angle of incidence is greater than a certain limiting angle, called the critical angle
