Answer:

Heat is transfered via solid material (conduction), liquids and gases (convection), and electromagnetical waves (radiation). Heat is usually transfered in a combination of these three types and seldomly occurs on its own. For example, the thermal environment of a building is influenced by heat fluxes through the ground (conduction), and the building envelope (mostly convection and radiation).

Answer:

When two bodies are in thermal contact with each other, there is a transfer of energy from the body at hugher temperafure to the body at lower temperature. The energy in transter is called the heat Also when two parts of a body are at different tempertures, there is a transter of energy from the part at higher temperature to the other part. The SI unit of heat is the joule.

INote: Count Rumford Benjamin Thonpson (1753-1814) Anglo-American adventurer, social reformer, inventor and physicist, measured the relation between work and heat. When he visted ATsenal in Muich, he tond that tremendlous amount ot heat was produced in a short time when a brass cannon was being bored. He found that even with a blunt borer a lot of heat can be produced trom a piece ot me tal. At that time t was thought that heat consists ota thud called caloric. Rumford's cxperiments showed that caloric did not exist and heat is the motion of the particles of a body. He measiired the relation beween wOTk done and corre ponding heat produce. The result was not acurate, but important n developiment ot thermocdynamics
