an oscillatory or aperiodic current that flows in a circuit for a short time following an electromagnetic disturbance(i.e the current which we are dealing with is sinusoidal or direct i.e in a particular fashion ...which means the pattern repeats but nothing is perfect in this universe... similarly the current sometimes deviate for a very very small time...and this deviated current causes some disturbance ...and these deviated current...or unfashioned current is called transient current
