periodic motion refers to the type of motion which gets repeated in equal interval of time while the motion in which all particles move through same distance in same time.

Translatory motion--> The motion which brings about the movement of the body from one point to the other (translatory motion is generally compared with rotatory motion- class XI)

Peiodic motion--> the motion which repeats itself after certain time interval. Eg:- revolution of planets around the Sun.
