Translocation is the movement of materials from leaves to other tissues throughout the plant. Plants produce carbohydrates in their leaves by photosynthesis, but nonphotosynthetic parts of the plantalso require carbohydrates and other organic and nonorganic materials.


Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as leaves, stems and flowers.
