1> Translocation is the movement of materials from leaves to other tissues throughout the plant. Plants produce carbohydrates (sugars) in their leaves by photosynthesis, but nonphotosynthetic parts of the plant also require carbohydrates and other organic and nonorganic materials.

2> Translocation is necessary because without it, the food prepared by the leaves cannot reach other parts of the plant. In plants, the synthesis of sugars takes place in the leaves by the process of photosynthesis.

3> i> Sugars are the carbohydrates which are mainly synthesised through photosynthesis in leaves of most plants.

ii>  Hormones are the non nutrient chemical messengers. Hormones in plants are synthesised in almost every part such as roots, shoots, leaves, fruits and seeds.

Hope it Helps!!!???,
