Translucent is a quality of an object which is neither opaque or transparent like a butter paper.through it we can partially see things as minimal rays pass and some get reflected back resulting in unclear blur vision through it.

Permitting light to pass through but diffusing it so that persons, objects, etc., on the opposite side are not clearly visible
In simple words we can say that it is not completely transparent
