During the process of transpiration, water molecules in the plant tissues are removed from the aerial parts of the plants. Only a small amount of water absorbed by the plants is utilised in growth and development. The rest is eliminated in the form of transpiration.

  • Plants release the water they contain in the form of moisture or water vapour through transpiration.
  • Some of the water in the soil is used by roots, while the remainder evaporates into the atmosphere.
  • Stems, microscopic pores on leaves, and flowers all evaporate water into the sky.
  • To put it another way, it's the process through which water from plant leaves and other components evaporates into the atmosphere.
