Transpiration pull is also referred to as suction force, and this force is used to draw the water upward from the roots to the leaves.
Explanation:
The transpiration pull could simply be defined as a biological process in which the pull force is produced inside the xylem tissue.
- This force helps the upward movement of water into the xylem vessels.
- The loss of water in the form of vapors through the leaves is observed in this process.
- This biological process is carried out in all taller plants and trees as their stems are surrounded by bundles of fine tubes made of woody material known as xylem.
