transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts such as leaves Steam, and flowers.

Its significance are
1) Photosynthesis it provides the water needed for food manufactured by photosynthesis in the leaves.

2) Cooling transpiration involved evaporation of water .The cell in the leaves are exposed to direct Sunlight .Energy from the sun light can be transferred from the plant cell to the water causing it to evaporate.
