Here tributary means some of the lakes, ponds, and other water bodies which comes from the river which are flowing such as river Ganges and their tributes.. And another one example that in India there are nine main rivers they are Ganges, Brahmaputra, Mahanadi, Narmada, Yamuna, Godavari, Tapi, Krishna and Kaveri.Those are met together mainly 8 rivers and make Indian River system.
