Flowing southwest, it receives its mainleft bank tributaries, viz., Dibang orSikang and Lohit; thereafter, it is known as the Brahmaputra. Among the tributaries Subansiri, Manas, Jiabharali, Pagladiya, Puthimari andSankosh etc. are snow fed.
