When the stimulus has a particular direction and movement of plant occurs in the direction of the stimulus (either towards the stimulus or in the opposite direction), this movement is called as tropic movement.

Tropic movement is a type of plant movement which moves towards the direction of stimuli or away from the stimuli. It is found virtually in all plants.
There are 6 types of Tropic movements-
1. Thigmotropism
2. Phototropism
3. Geotropism
4. Thermotropism
5. Chemotropism
6. Hydrotropism
