The term "turning point" refers to situations when situations suddenly get into more favor or go against or favor.

So it can lead to good or bad experiences or outcomes.

It is very difficult to predict when a turning point can come in life.

Stephen hawking even met with a serious turning point in his life.

Rather, his life was full of challenges.

He had to continuously fight with them.

He was diagnosed to have been affected by a serious motor neuron disease for which doctors had predicted that he would hardly life for two more years.

However he went against all odds and later became a physicist by putting back his physical disabilities.

Answer:

The concept of a "turning point" is a moment in time when something occurs that creates a change of direction in life or an irreversible change.

Many "turning points" are "conscious", others less conscious; some might be forced by convincing individuals or families. But everything involves turning away from one direction to another.

Here are the key years in the lifetime of famous British scientist "Stephen Hawking", who died at 76 years of age.

1. In 1963, he discovers that he suffers from a type of "amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)", a degenerative and paralyzing motor neuron disease.

2. While having a tracheotomy, he loses the ability to speak in 1985. It eventually results in his use of a "contact machine" and "a speech synthesizer".
