Its complement is 90°-x°

Supplement is 180°-x°

Given 90°-x° = (1/6)(180°-x°)

6(90°-x°) = 180°-x°

540° - 6x° = 180° - x°

540° - 180° = 6x° - x°

360° = 5x°

x°= 72°

Hence the complement angle = 90° - x° = 18°
