Scattering of the light with colloidal solution in collidal sol is known as Tyndall effect. OR Scattering of a beam of light is called Tyndall effect.

TYNDAL EFFECT is the process of scattering of light through a colloid. Light scatters by particles in the colloid and hence a beam of light is produced.
