Hey

Scattering of beam of Light by colloid particles is known as Tyndall Effect

Tyndall Effect mainly Observed in Forest

At morning

There is fog in forest on that time In the dense forest, from the canopy of the tree ,the light passes and particles in the atmosphere or In the Fog scatters the light

In your room,Just close everything and allow only One small hole ,You will see ,in daylight that Light enters and dust particles scatters it ,the Beam of light

Thanks

Explanation:

Tyndall effect is the effect in which scattering of light is seen by the particles present in colloid or in very fine suspension.

Conditions that are necessary for Tyndall effect to take place are:

  1. The diameter of the particles in dispersed phase should not be much smaller than the wavelength of light used.
  2. The difference between the refractive indices of the dispersed medium and dispersed phase should be large.
