"A typeface is a design for a set of characters, or we can say that a typeface is a design for a type of characters whereas a font is a type with other added characteristics like font weight, size, italics, bold, etc. The typefaces can all be classified into two main categories- serif and sans serif. A serif typeface is composed only of plain lines while a sans-serif typeface has other small features on it for decorative purposes.
