Ultrahydrophobic (or superhydrophobic) surfaces are highly hydrophobic, i.e., extremely difficult to wet. The contact angles of a water droplet on an ultrahydrophobic material exceed 150°. This is also referred to as the lotus effect, after the superhydrophobic leaves of the lotus plant.

may this helps u

Hydrophobia is a physical characteristics of a substance, where the substance tends to repell the water molecules from it's external surface. The surface of the hydrophobic material is known as the hydrophobic surface.

There are many hydrophobic surfaces which have a great amount of hydrophobic characteristics on it's surface, that's why water droplet completely bounce from it's surface and the surface doesn't get wet at any circumstances.(eg. Lotus leaf)
