Explanation:

Uniform Civil Code refers to replacing the personal laws (based on religious scriptures and customs) with a common set of governing rules for all citizens

Indian subcontinent is known for its diversity. The society is divided based on race, caste, religion, linguistic, culture and ethnic ( Mozaic model system of diversity) where we celebrate our each and every identity.

The constitution of India has a provision for Uniform Civil Code in Article 44 as a Directive Principle of State Policy (Part IV) in order to promote nationality and integrity among the citizen

In my opinion, UCC provides equal status to all citizens irrespective of their religion, caste, race and creed.

It also promotes gender parity and national integrity

But at the same time, it is practically difficult due to its diversity, perception as encroachment on religious freedom, interference in personal matters

But still we have uniform criminal code. The uniform civil code must exist in some to abolish the social evils
