uniform motion is a type of motion in which velocity of an object is const. (it's direction too ) ... it travels in straight line ... and also covers equal distance in equal time interval...
Distance is the total measure of the path covered by the object whereas displacement is the distance between initial and final point...

distance is the measurement of the path travelled in all !
but displacement is the measurement of shortest path !
