union list: it is the list of subjects of national importance. These includes national defence, foreign affairs, banking, communication, currency,etc.

state list: it is a list of subjects of state and local importance. These includes police,trade, commerce, agriculture,etc.

concurrent list: the concurrent list contains subjects of common interest to both the union as well as the state. These includes education, forest, marriage, adoption,etc.
