Answer:

A union territory is a type of administrative division in the Republic of India. Unlike the states of India, which have their own governments, union territories are federal territories governed, in part or in whole, by the Union Government of India

A union territory is a type of administrative unit that is ruled by the central government . Unlike state , a Union Territory does not have Chief Minister. It is not represented in Rajya Sabha except Delhi and Puducherry.

The Union Territories have a Lieutenant Governor as an administrator, who is the representative of the President of India and appointed by the Central government.

Hope it helps
