Unisexual reproduction involves one parent either with genital organs of single sex or the gametes produced are sterile so that there is no production of viable seeds. This is otherwise called as parthenogenesis.
In organisms like honey bees and wasps, males develop by the method of parthenogenesis. Some reptiles also have the capability of reproducing by parthenogenesis.
