hey there here is your answer
The unitary method is a technique which is used for solving a problem by finding the value of a single unit, and then finding the necessary value by multiplying the single unit value.

Example 1:
If the cost of 25 notebooks is $50, then find the cost of 20 such notebooks.

Solution:
We are given the cost of 25 notebooks and we need to find the cost of 20 notebooks.

Cost of 25 notebooks = $50

Cost of 1 notebook = 50255025

= $2
Cost of 20 such notebooks =  2 ×× 20 = $ 40

Example 2:
Find the speed of the car if it travels at a rate of 50 km in 5 hours.

Solution:
We know that speed is also a type of rate measure. Also speed of the car is the distance traveled by the car in one hour.

Distance traveled by the car in 5 hours = 50 km

Distance traveled by the car in one hour = 505505km/h = 10 km/h

Thus, the speed of the car is 10 kilometers per hour.

The method that is used to find the value of just a unit from the given value of multiples and to find the value of multiple with given value of a unit is known as unitary method. The name is derived from the word unit which means one. In this method basically either we find out the measure, amount, etc of only one object when the value of many objects is given to us, or we find out the value of many objects when the value of same object’s single unit is given to us. For example: price of one notebook when the cost of many is given to us, or price of many bananas when the cost of one is give to us and so on.
