Newton's law of gravitation is called the Universal law because it is applicable on all bodies having mass, and the bodies will be governed by the same law, that is newton's law of gravitation. Thus, as it is applicable universally, it is called as universal law.law of gravitation. a law stating that any two masses attract each other with a force equal to a constant (constant of gravitation) multiplied by the product of the two masses and divided by the square of the distance between them.
