This is an interesting topic and is my favourite. There's a whole lot to explain, which might take more than an year to explain everything to you in deep.
As a basic glance, Universe is a 4-D continuum (Space-Time Fabric) that contains everything (viz., Matter, Energy, Anti-Matter, Anti-Energy, Dark-Matter, Dark-Energy, Exotic-Matter, Exotic-Energy, etc.) and we are an extremely too small a part of it. In fact, in an address form, we live in,
Earth, 3-Solarist, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy, Known Universe Bounds, The Universe, (The Multiverse, a theory...).
It even consists of many mysteries viz., Black Holes (White Holes are theory and were never observed), Space-Time Fabric (According to Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity), Wormholes, Energy Strings (According to the old string theory, Energy in space due to Quantum Fluctuations is in the form of strings, hypothetical 1-D atoms present in the form of energy with diameter of each string equal to the planck length, i.e., 10^-35 m, achieved at planck temperature, I.e., 1.41679 × 10^32 K), Intelligent Planets, binary systems, neutron stars, quasars (Quantum Pulsars), gas systems, nebulas, constellations, Dark matter, Exotic matter, and a lot more !!!
