Unorganized labour sector:

  • The unorganised labour sector represents that category of labour that does not enjoy the provident of pensions, funds, etc and work on hourly wages. This labour sector does not enjoy the benefits of acts per training to the welfare scheme.
  • This sector is further categorised into – a home-based, a self-employed and a wage worker. The followed categorisation is on the basis of occupation, nature of employment and distressed category.
  • People coming under this particular sector face numerous problems like extended work hours, lack of implementation of health safety legislation, lack of awareness of environmental issues and hazards and fraudulent contractors and child labours.
