When any body is submerged in a liquid then the liquid applies a force on it which is called upthrust.

The unit of upthrust is Newton.

its formula is = VDg  where V is the volume immersed D is the density of liquid and g is the acceleration due to gravity.

I hope that helped u.

When a body is placed in a fluids I.e liquid or gas a force act on the body which decide whether body will float or sink that force is called upthurst.

It is a kind of force so it's unit are also same as force it's unit is Newton
Dimensional formula is [MLT^-2]

Upthurst decided by weight of displaced fluid
let' density of fluids is ౮.
and mass is m and V stand for displaced volume.
Upthurst = mg
= ౮ × V×g
