Urea, also called carbamide is an organic chemical compound that is the main nitrogenous breakdown product of protein metabolism in mammals and is the major component of human urine. It is a colourless, odourless solid which is highly soluble in water and is non-toxic. If dissolved in water, it is neither acidic nor alkaline.
Urea is the series of a number of biochemical reactions. It is produced in the liver then transported to the kidney and then excreted as urine.
