Ureotelism. The excretion of urea is called ureotelism. Land animals, mainly amphibians and mammals, convert ammonia into urea, a processwhich occurs in the liver and kidney. ... Urea is a less toxic compound than ammonia; two nitrogen atoms are eliminated through it and less water is needed for its excretion.

Hey !!!!!
_____________________________________________________________

it is a type of excretion where urea is the main nitrogenous waste material
animals that show such type of excretion are called ureotelic animals.
_____________________________________________________________

the nitrogen in the amino acids becomes converted to ammonia and then is further converted by the liver into urea which is less toxic than ammonia to the body. the kidneys will then filter out the urea from the circulation, send it to the bladder along with water and excrete it in the form of urine
