A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) specifies exact location of the web page on the Internet.
Explanation : If you see your nearby, every house has a unique address which helps us to identify that particular house. Thus, an address is used to locate a house. In the same way, every web site has an address which is unique. This is also called URL (Uniform Resource Locator). Certain conventions have to be followed while naming a web site.
