There are many uses of watching movies but if you take it as in a education way...

Here you go.

1. Some movies show day- day problems like discrimination of girls and boys and other major topic
2. If you watch English movies it is the best because you get a help in learning English try to understand what they and the English subtitles
3. Some movies show about role models like Neerja-- she was a brave girl and you must have watched the movie I think..
4. Movies which wonderful stories with good twists and everything which makes the movie best, it helps you in making your story or something else. it makes your imagination bigger. This is according to me. I get help from this

There are many more but only when you don't take as an entertainment otherwise it is of no use..
