Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To calculate median we follow the following steps:-

Rule1- Arrange either ascending or descending order.

Rule2- Check the total number of term are even or odd.

If Even - Median = \frac{(\frac{n}{2})th ~term +(\frac{n}{2}+1)th~term  }{2}

If Odd - Median = (\frac{n+1}{2})th~term

Ex- Calculate the median of Raw data ,

      1,  4,  7,  8,   2,  3,  5 .

Solution-

   Rule1- Arrange either ascending or descending order.

            In ascending order = 1 ,  2,  3,  4 ,  5,  7,  8 .

  Rule2- Check the total number of term are even or odd.

           Total number of term = 7  ( odd )

  So,

        Median = (\frac{n+1}{2})th ~term

                     = (\frac{7+1}{2})th~term

                     = (\frac{8}{2})th~term

                     = 4 th ~term

 And fourth term = 4.

Therefore median is 4.
