★ LITHIUM:-

→ Its alloy with Lead is used to make white metal bearing for motor engines.

→ Its alloy with Aluminium is used to make aircraft parts.

→ Its alloy with Magnesium is used to make armour plates and also in thermonuclear reactions.

→ Its is used to make electrochemical cells.

★ SODIUM:-

→ Its alloy with lead was used as anti-knock additives to petrol.

→ Liquid sodium metal is used as coolant in fast breeder nuclear reactors.

★ POTASSIUM:-

→ Potassium chloride is used as fertilizer.

→ Potassium hydroxide is used in manufacture of soft soap.

→ It is also used as an excellent absorbent of carbon dioxide.

★ CAESIUM:-

→ It is used in devising photoelectric cells.
