valency:The combining capacity of an atom of an element to form chemical bonds.

e.g : atomic no. k l m

14 = 2,8,4

1.Atomic number:The number of protons in one atom of an element is known as atomic number.

2. Atomic mass : The total number of protons and neutrons present in one atom of an element is known as atomic mass.

3. Isotopes: Same elements having same atomic numbers

but different atomic mass.

e.g: ³Cl ³Cl (but same atomic no. 17 )

4. Isobars: Different elements having different atomic numbers but same atomic mass.

Answer:

The maximum number of univalent atoms (originally hydrogen or chlorine atoms) that may combine with an atom of the element under consideration, or with a fragment, or for which an atom of this element can be substituted.

1.The atomic number or proton number (symbol Z) of a chemical element is the number of protons found in the nucleus of every atom of that element.

2. the sum of no of proton and nucleus in an atom .

3. same atomic number but different atomic mass

4.same atomic mass but different atomic number
