(1) 0/1 = simply means what do you multiply ‘1’ with to get ‘0’ .

So as you know multiplying ‘1’ with a ‘0’ gives you zero , so the answer is zero.

(2) 1/0 = now what do you multiply ‘0’ with to get a ‘1’ ???

One answer could be multiplying ‘0’ with 1/0 gives ‘1’ , but that is what we are trying to figure out i.e 1/0 .

So basically you can't find it out until and unless we get new revised sets of rules for mathematics… so the answer is undefined !
