we have to assume that this equation is equal to x(or any variable).

thus,

x=√20+(√20+(√20.....∞)

so we have assumed that 20+(√20+(√20.....∞) is x.

so ,

it can be written as

x=√(20+x)

squaring both sides,

x²=20+x

x²-x-20=0

x²-5x+4x-20=0

x(x-5)+4(x-5)=0

(x-5)(x+4)=0

x=5,-4

thus,x=5 (answer)
