Answer:

If f(x) is a polynomial and α is any real no. then the real no. obtained by replacing x by α in f(x) is called the value of f(x) at x = α and is denoted by f(α)

eg : If f(x) = 2x+3

Then at x = 1,

=> f(x) = 2(1) + 3

=> f(x) = 5
