Answer:

If a variable can take on any value between two specified values, it is called a continuous variable; otherwise, it is called a discrete variable. Some examples will clarify the difference between discrete and continuous variables. ... The number of heads could be any integer value between 0 and plus infinity.

Answer:

A variable is a certain letter/character which can store values in it temporarily or we can also define it as:

A quantity which can take any numerical value within a certain range is called a variable.

A continuous variable is something which can take any numerical value within a certain range .

Eg: Heights of children.(can be any range of numbers).

A discrete variable is something which is incapable of taking all possible numerical values.

Eg: Children in a family.(it is a specific value).

I have made the word for which the definition has been written in bold so that it will be easier to understand!

Hope it helps!!
