The vascular cambium is the main growth layer in the stems and roots of many plants,specially in dicots such as buttercups and oak tree, and gymnosperms such as pine trees.

It produces xylem on the inside and phloem o. the outside.

other names of vascular cambium is main cambium,wood cambium and bifacial cambium.
