Vedic Mathematics is the name given to a supposedly ancient system of calculation which was "rediscovered" from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaj 1884-1960.

hello ,i will answer it..

in vedic maths .. These required an accurate calculation of the times of certain festivals and of the times auspicious for the performances of certain sacrifices and rituals. They also required a correct knowledge of the times of rising and the setting of the sun and the moon, and of the occurrences of the solar and lunar eclipses. All these meant a good knowledge of arithmetic, plane and spherical geometry and trigonometry.

hope it helps.
