Answer:

what is vegetative propagation?.

Answer:-Vegetative propagation involves the production of new individuals from vegetative plant propagules such as buds, tubers and rhizomes. Examples:

(1) Potato tubers possess buds which grow into new plants.

(2) Adventitious buds of Bryophyllum leaves grow to form new plants.

The two advantages of Vegetative Propagation:-

1)These fragments known as cuttings are able to grow into root, stem and finally to full plant.

Faster and more certain method of propagation, new individual have exactly identical qualities as their parents, can be used to produce plants that do not have viable seeds.

2)The advantages of this method are that the genetically identical offsprings are produced.

Therefore, the advantageous traits can be preserved. This method helps because there is no need of the two parents.

Money plants and rose vegetatively propagate through their stems. Vegetative propagation by stem can be carried out by a method called cutting.
