Vegetative propagation is the growing of. plants from their vegetative parts like leaves,roots etc.
Advantages
1. They produce flowers and fruits much earlier than plants produce by seeds
2. It is a fast method
Disadvantages
1. No new variations are formed
2. Plants can still suffer from diseases

Vegetative propagation is a mode of asexual reproduction in which new plants are formed from roots, stems, leaves and buds of the individual vegetative parts of the plant. For example:- Eyes of potato.
- It is a rapid economical method.
- Offsprings are genetically identical and therefore useful traits can be preserved.
- Since plants are genetically very similar, new characters can not be introduced.
- The disease of parent plant gets transferred to the offspring.
